My life in the dog fancier world of purebred dogs began in 1985 with German Shorthaired Pointers. My mentor and I bred some of the oldest lines in the country for 16 years which provided me the foundation to enter into the breed of Rhodesian Ridgebacks

I first fell in love with Rhodesian Ridgebacks in 1996 when I met a young Excalibur who grew up to become, MBIS, MBISS Ch. Nashira's Excalibur of Ridgelea, ROM. I was not provided the opportunity to obtain my first Rhodesian Ridgeback until 2003.  It was then that Chiastolite (chee-as-tow-lite) Rhodesian Ridgebacks were founded. 

While my breed may have changed my ethics and standards remain the same:

To preserve the positive qualities of the breed
To breed sound, healthy, well tempered dogs
To breed dogs that can perform the job they were intended to do.
